PRIVACY STATEMENT

PURSUANT TO ARTT. 13-14 UE REG 2016/679 (GDPR)

The methods adopted by Boart & Wire S.r.l., with registered office at via Astico, 40, Fara Vicentino (VI) , VAT no. 03273840243, to process personal data (those of users of the site and of the company’s suppliers and customers), in a capacity as Data Controller, are described on this page.

The privacy statement does not apply to any other websites consulted by the user via links.

This document may be revised in the future. Specific privacy statements and any necessary requests for consent will be made available whenever other processing operations are proposed, differing from those regulated in this statement.

We inform you that, in keeping with the provisions of art. 130, paragraph 4 of Italian Legislative Decree no. 196/2003, the e-mail addresses provided by customers in connection with the sale of a service/supply of a product may, in any event, be used by the Data Controller for purposes related to the sale of products and services similar to those covered by the contract already entered into. The customer may request, at any time, that this material no longer be sent, using the Boart & Wire S.r.l. mail address indicated or using the link for this purpose included in communications received.

MINORS

Boart & Wire S.r.l. does not knowingly use its website to request data regarding minors under 14 years of age.

PROCESSING METHODS

The data used for each of the purposes described above will be processed using paper-based, computerised or online methods capable of guaranteeing that operations are carried out in secure and confidential conditions.
The data collected (solely personal data) may be transferred to countries outside the EU, for the aforementioned purposes: when this occurs, Boart & Wire S.r.l. undertakes to guarantee adequate levels of protection and safeguards in accordance with legislation applicable.
The Data Controller undertakes to comply with specific security measures to prevent the loss of data, unlawful or incorrect use or unauthorised access, fully in accordance with current legislation and regulations.

SUBJECTS INVOLVED IN PROCESSING

Data collected may be processed, solely for the purposes indicated, by Boart & Wire S.r.l. staff or by third parties, such as:

• the Data Controller’s customers and/or suppliers, when disclosure is necessary for the performance of a service supplied and/or requested (e.g. shipping agents, transportation companies)
• companies that provide maintenance services for computer systems or deal with the maintenance and running of the website;
• professional studios, companies providing the Data Controller with assistance and consultancy services (accountant, employment consultant, internal auditors, banks, …)
• any public bodies that may be authorised, to the extent permitted by legislative provisions, regulations and contractual terms.

The Data Controller will provide an up-to-date list of all data processors upon request.

RIGHTS OF DATA SUBJECTS

The subjects to whom the personal data refer may exercise the rights described in articles 15 to 21 of EU Regulation 2016/679, adopting the procedures referred to in art. 12 of EU Regulation 2016/679, and, accordingly:

• to obtain access to personal data and the rectification or erasure thereof or to the restriction of the processing of data regarding them, or to object to the processing, as well as the right to data portability;
• to withdraw their consent at any time, when the processing is based on article 6, paragraph 1, letter a), without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent given before its withdrawal;
•  to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

WEBSITE

a) Navigation data
The Website uses log files that store information collected in automated form while users visit the site. The following types of information may be collected:

• Internet protocol (IP) address;
• type of browser and parameters applying to the device used to connect up to the site;
• name of the Internet service provider (ISP);
• date and time of visit;
• web page from which the visitor was directed (referral) and which he or she left;
• possibly the number of clicks.

The above information is processed in automated form and collected exclusively in aggregate form in order to verify that the site is functioning correctly, and also on security grounds. This information will be processed in the legitimate interests of the Data Controller.
Data registered automatically may, for security purposes (antispam filters, firewall, virus detection) also include personal data such as Ip address, which may be used, in accordance with current data protection legislation, in order to stop attempts to damage the website or other users, or activities in any way harmful or constituting unlawful conduct. These data are never used to identify or to profile the user, but solely to protect the website and its users; this information will be used in the legitimate interests of the Data Controller.

b) Cookies
To make our website easier to use and more intuitive we use cookies: cookies are small text strings used to store certain information that may relate to the user, his or her preferences or the device he or she uses to access the Internet (computer, tablet or mobile phone) and are used mainly to adapt how the site functions to the user’s expectations, offering a more personalised navigation experience and storing choices made in the past.
A cookie contains a small set of data that are sent to the user’s browser by a web server and can only be read by the server that transferred it. It is not an executable code, nor does it transmit viruses.
Cookies do not record any personal information and data capable of identifying a user will not be stored. If you wish, you can block some or all cookies saved. Technical cookies

There are a large number of technologies used to store information on the user’s computer, which are then gathered by the sites. Among these the best known and most widely-used are HTML cookies. These are used for browsing and to facilitate access and use of the site by the user. They are necessary for the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or to the Supplier to provide the service requested by the customer.
The settings to manage or remove cookies may vary depending on the Internet browser used. In any case, the user can manage or request the general disablement or deletion of cookies by changing the browser settings. This deactivation can slow down or prevent access to some parts of the site.
The use of technical cookies allows for the safe and efficient use of the site.
From the point of view of duration, a distinction can be made between temporary session cookies that are automatically deleted at the end of the browsing session and are used to identify the user, thus avoiding the need to log onto every page visited, and persistent cookies, which remain active on the user’s computer until expiry or deletion by the user.
Session cookies may be installed in order for the user to access and remain in the reserved area of the website as an authenticated user.
They are not stored permanently but only while browsing the site. They disappear when the browser is closed. Their use is strictly limited to the transmission of session identifiers consisting of random numbers generated by the server so as to allow safe and efficient exploration of the site.
